If you are interested in ecotourism then the Laman Padi is the place to go, a complex with picturesque rice paddies that are inhabited by ducks and water buffalos. There is also a historical museum in the area that will provide a lot of knowledge about the history and culture of the area. The area is also famous for its Spas and luxurious hotels and most the tourists choose it as the place to stay during their vacation in Langkawi.

To get the best view of the whole island get yourself a ticket of the Langkawi cable car and head to the top of Guang Machinchang. The trip is of 20 minutes and will provide you with some stunning views and great opportunities for getting some memorable pictures.
