Japan Airlines Corp. said Friday that it will begin offering code-sharing flights with American Airlines Inc. and two other members of the oneworld airline alliance from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport in October.
With the opening of a new runway late next month, Haneda is set to provide international service. JAL will offer 22 daily flights on 11 international routes. In addition to American Airlines, JAL will jointly operate flights with Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways and Taiwanese carrier China Airlines.
Flights code-shared by JAL and Cathay Pacific will increase from three a day now to 18, including those departing from other Japanese airports.
