More Boeing 737-800 Will Be Received In 2011 By Continental Airline

Continental Airline has become the FIRST to get new Boeing plane model 737-800 in North America. The airline has recently taken delivery of 737-800 aircraft fitted with Boeing’s new Sky Interior from Boeing Inc.

The airline announced in a press release, that this all-new interior features newly sculpted sidewalls, energy-efficient LED lighting and larger overhead bins that retract into the ceiling, permitting stowage of additional roll-aboard bags. Other features include improved ventilation and cabin-noise reduction for customers and new, touch-screen flight attendant panels and controls.”

Ron Baur, Vice President (fleet) at Continental Airline expressed passionately that: “When customers first step on the plane, they will immediately notice the fresh cabin architecture,” He further adds: “This modern interior gives the airplane a more open look and feel while increasing cabin comfort and overhead storage space,”

The airline will also be receiving more 737-800 Boeing in the coming year. However, the date and route of this new aircraft is yet to be announced.
